Unlocking policies with the various networks differ greatly. If you bought an iPhone 2nd hand or on Ebay for example, were gifted an iPhone, if you are not the original contract holder or if a contract period remains, to name but a few, you probably will not meet the requirements to unlock directly via the network. This is when an Official Factory Apple Unlock Service is required.

An Official Apple Unlock service removes ALL network restrictions imposed by the existing network and allows your iPhone 5 to be used with ANY network, around the World. Unless stated, as long as your iPhone has not been reported 'lost or stolen', any iPhone 5 can be unlocked, regardless of contractual period (unless stated) etc. Once unlocked you are able to swap and change network Sim cards at your will, your iPhone will be unlocked to use any sim card and no longer limited to any individual provider.

To unlock your iPhone 5 with an Official Permanent iPhone Unlock all we require is the IMEI of the phone and a contact email address to receive all correspondence and ultimately, the 'Unlock Confirmation'.

An IMEI number is a unique 15 digit number that identifies your handset and the network it is locked to. The process updates your IMEI on the Apple GSX database and it is marked as 'Unlocked/Whitelisted/Sim Free'. This is the only permanent unlock, recognised by Apple.

Revealed in September 2012, the iPhone 5 was the sixth generation of the iPhone, replacing the iPhone 4S later to be replaced by iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.

The iPhone 5 featured major design changes which included an aluminum-based body which was thinner and lighter than previous models, a taller screen with a nearly 9:16 aspect ratio, the Apple A6 system-on-chip, LTE support, and the Lightning port, a new compact dock connector which replaced the 30-pin design used by previous iPhone models.

Within 24hrs of release, over two million orders were received and demand for the iPhone 5 exceeded the supply available upon the launch date of September 21.

The iPhone 5 was officially discontinued by Apple on September 10, 2013 with the announcement of its successors, the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C. With the release of its replacement models, the iPhone 5 was only produced for 12 months.

Was in a real rush to unlock my phone before my holiday. As always I left everything until the last minute and unfortunately my first experience with an online unlock site proved a costly mistake. I spent $19 on an unlock that was supposedly guaranteed to unlock all iPhones in minutes, of course it didn't work. As with a lot of things, I found out too late about the various scams out there and had already wasted time and money. I spoke to LiveChat and he explained that any company that claims an instant unlock for all iPhones is clearly a scam. I hesitantly ordered my unlock and within 2 days.. just in time for my travels, my phone unlock completed. Absolutely fantastic, thank you very much!

After trying 2 other companies on ebay, neither delivering and still chasing refunds, I was close to giving up. Of course the ebay services were a lot cheaper and that should obviously have been the alarm bell!! This service could not be more different, profession, fast and I could actually speak to a real person on live chat. Don't waste your time and money on cheap sites, they don't work. You get what you pay for! Brilliant

I bought what I thought was an unlocked iPhone but they are not really unlocked!!I bought an unlocked iPhone 6 to take with us on our 6 months travels throughout Europe so that we could use local sim cards during our trip and avoid high roaming charges. I put my UK O2 sim in the phone and it worked fine but when we than came to put a French sim card in the phone it said Sim Not Valid!! After phone calls to Carphone Warehouse I was told that it would only work with the O2 network now! It's not unlocked then is it!!When I came across this service online the customer support girl explained everything clearly to me and the 'Next Tether Policy' whatever that meant? My only option was to unlock my handset and chose to go ahead because the timescale was so quick compared to other sites I'd seen. Took less than 2 days to get my phone unlocked and now I truly have an unlocked phone that will allow me to use any network.CAnnot thank these guys enough HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I do highly recommend this service, it's awesome. My only reason for a 4 star reviews was I was quoted 24 hours for unlock and after 24 hours I was worried I had been a victim of a scam. The unlock was completed in under 48hrs however!

Spent about a week being told by local shops and Vodafone that I could not get unlocked, I thought I was stuck with an iPhone that I was never going to get unlocked. Found officialappleunlock this morning and within a few days it was unlocked. Seriously impressed and can highly recommend to others.

I now have an official unlocked iPhone that I can use as normal without the need to worry about relocking, unlike the previous software solution I had to use. An offiical IMEI unlock is the only method I would recommend to anyone.
